  1. A Peruvian MODELO 1935 carbine mfg.  FAB.NAT.D’ARMES de GUERRE HERSTAL – BELGIQUE
cal. 7.65 X 53, 17.3” or 44 cm.bbl. (muzzle to boltface) serial #2551 on rec. ring and stamped in the buttstock.  Mismatched bolt # 3460, correct type with the reversed safety as described in Olson’s book. A piece best described as a gray gun, as there is less than 25% finish left on the bands, exposed barrel, and bottom metal. Bolt shroud and handle are finished white. Receiver still retains about 40 – 50% blue.  Bore is VG to EXC. Condition with brite appearance and sharp lands. Stock wood is walnut with many marks and untouched by sandpaper.  Serial # and proof readily visible on the butt. There is one chipped area at the right rear of the handguard.  Original front site guard.  Cleaning rod appears to be correct style.  All screws are present and not buggered. This version is mentioned in Olson’s Mauser book where he is describing and pictures the 1935 Peruvian short rifles. Another reference to the Peruvian carbines is found at the carbines for collector’s website. This appears to be a quite scarce version of Mauser carbine as there is no other example to be found on the web.
    $1,750.00 CAD (plus shipping/handling)
  1. A Carabina Chileana Modelo 1935 carbine mfg. MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF A/N
cal. 7X57, 22” or 56 cm bbl. (muzzle to boltface) serial # marking: Serie C.Ch. No 48 All #’s match on this item, incl.  the cleaning rod. No. 48 stamped on 6 pieces on the carbine and 4 pieces on the bolt. BUG,N proof marks on right ring side. Top of receiver ring crested with 2 crossed rifles and marked CHILE, ORDEN Y PATRIA, MODELO 1935 Rear bridge crested MAUSER. This is a good example of the high quality export contract Mauser’s coming out of Oberndorf prior to 1938. This one retains over 50% of thin original blue on the exposed metal. Bolt was finished in white. The bore is excellent, as well as bolt face, with the appearance of hardly any shooting. A lovely walnut stock in sound condition with deep bruising and cuts on the wrist and comb. I’d guess these are from contact with a cartridge belt or saber handle. Fortunately the crest on the left butt side is not damaged. This model was not available from Canadian dealers, and I brought this in from the U.S. personally.
    $2,000.00 CAD (plus shipping/handling)
